Travel Much?

I have a confession: I love to travel. I seriously feel like I’m never home anymore. I've been out of town for what feels like every weekend for the past month. So, where have I been?

I went to Kingman for my brothers bday and to spend time with my awesome family.

I went quading for the first time. I didn't think it would be much fun, but it was a blast.

Then, I went to Las Vegas. Vegas is the only place you can see a woman dressed like a playboy bunny and a man dressed like Elvis walking down the street and not think twice about it. Sadly, I didn't get a picture of it.

And who can forget San Diego (where we got engaged!)

And, there's always our trip to Montezuma's Castle

and Sedona with Joe and Shaunae.

I can't forget to mention my girls get away to Tucson. We went to San Xavier and the Caverns while we were there. I have three words for you: so much fun.

And, finally, a quick trip to Pinetop with some friends for the fourth of July weekend. We went to Greer for lunch one day and afterwards we made a pit stop to go hiking. While we were there, we saw a bear!
True story. He doesn't look very scary, but I was done hiking after I saw him.

Travel much? I think so. I might need to join TA (Traveler's Anonymous) because clearly I'm addicted to it. Poor Colby doesn't know what he's getting himself into by marrying me...

P.S. In case you haven't noticed, I've decided that I really like collages. Why? Because I can show a bunch of pictures and I don't have to spend forever uploading them. Enjoy :)

My Biggest Fan

Colby is my biggest fan. How do I know this? He's proven it to me on countless occasions. Recently, he came to support me at Pat's Run. It was a 4.2 mile run in honor of Pat Tillman, an ex-NFL player who died serving our country.

This was my first big run and it started super early. Not only was Colby there bright and early, but he brought me sunscreen and a banana (how sweet is that?). He is so supportive of everything I do.

After we crossed the finish line, I ran to find Colby. I was a dummy and forgot a water bottle so I was really thirsty by the time I saw him. He was so sweet because he took my hand and helped me find some water. It was very sweet. He's definately a keeper.

I'm not much of a runner but I think I did good. I ran it with my Uncle Bennie and we finished in 45 minutes. There were so many people there. I literally finished 2 seconds before him and I was 20 people ahead of him.

Only Fools Rush In

Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis came on my ipod while I was cleaning last night. Colby was there and he stopped what he was doing and he gently held me in his arms and started dancing with me. Just wait, it gets better: he even sang to me while we danced

This guy is amazing. I'm completely head over heels for him. I can't even describe how great he is. He's kind, smart, funny, super cute, fun, motivated, etc... I can go on and on about him. But, I'm getting ready to go for a run so I won't. Until next time.

All Good Things Come in Three's

I can't believe how long it's been since I've blogged. Forgive me, the last few months have been a bit crazy. I thought life would slow down after I graduated, but somehow it just got busier. I won't complain though, I love every moment of it!

I know you've wondering "what has Trystanna been up to lately?" So, here's a quick update:

#1) I turned 23 in March. Year twenty two was great and I really hope my twenty third year will be just like it. My friend Katie and I share the same birthday so we had a double birthday palooza. I absolutely love Katie. Lot's of people showed up to celebrate our birthday's with us. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by so many loving friends.

#2) I started a new job at an investment firm at the beginning of March and I love it. I'm learning a lot so the nerd in me is really, really happy. I had just started looking for a new job and I got this one within a few days of looking. I'm so grateful for it. It was truly an answer to my prayers.

#3) I saved the best for last. I'm dating someone and I'm head over heels for him. His name is Colby and he's amazing. I don't know where he's been hiding but I'm glad I finally found him. We met at Cafe Rio in December and I asked him for his number (bold, I know). I started a blog about our love story. Beware, it's full of mushy, lovey-dovey stuff.

So, that's about it in a nut shell. Hope you're doing great!

xoxo,
Trystanna

Grand Canyon Adventure

I've been feeling really restless lately. I have this immense desire to travel and get out of the city. I wasn't sure where to go or what to do though. I've been really busy lately (shocker) and I wanted to be alone to clear my thoughts and regain equilibrium. So, I took Friday off and went on an adventure to the Grand Canyon.

Most people around the country are cold and covered in snow. Not me! The weather was great. It was almost like a spring day - the sun was shinning, the air was crisp, and the scenery was beautiful. I got into my new car Friday morning and just drove. I put on my sunglasses, rolled down my windows and let the breeze play with my hair. For once, time was on my side and I wasn't in a hurry to get anywhere. I made a ton of pit stops along the way and loved every moment of it.

My first pit stop was Montezuma Castle in Camp Verde.

Then, I met up with Lyssa at La Fonda's for lunch. She's been one of my best friend since birth and it's always great to see her.

I took the scenic route to the Grand Canyon. This is what I saw when I looked in my rear view mirror:

I finally made it to the Grand Canyon!

Grand isn't it? I've seen it more than once and it amazes me every time.

And, that's my trip. Even though it was only for a day, it was really nice to get away and escape the city for a while.

Next trip: Europe!! In my dreams anyways...

Finally!!

You’re looking at the newest Arizona State University Graduate.

I'm so happy to report that my family was on time to my graduation.
This is a big deal for me - especially since my graduation started at 8:00 A.M.

I have the best family!

I won't lie, I cried like a baby when I gave my mom the Stole of Gratitude.

Even though I'm sad that I'm ending this chapter in my life, I'm really excited to start a new chapter and a new adventure.

The End.

Graduation Announcements

I have the house to myself tonight, so I decided to set up camp in my living room and start making my graduation announcements. I was suppose to send them out yesterday, procrastinate much? After about 10 minutes, I became engrossed in my project... Which is why it's 5 in the morning and I'm still not in bed. This is what I'm surrounded by:

Considering projects that I've done in the past, this isn't too bad. The announcements started out with this:

Exhibit A

Cute, but not really my style. So, I changed it to this:

Exhibit B (maroon border)

This is more my style. On a side note, after I printed off about 30 of these I had an anxiety attack because I thought "Arizona" was spelt "Arixona". To my relief, it was just the font and I really do know how to spell (sometimes). Anyways, back to announcements, I like this one but it still looks like it's missing something. So, it evolved into this:

Exhibit C (maroon and gold border)
And, this:
Exhibit D (gold and maroon border)

Now it's the hard part. Which one do I want to send? I think I like "B" the best. It's simple and cute (not to mention less work). But, I really like "D" too. What do you think? Also, I'm making about 50 announcements. So, if you want one, email me your address and I'll send you one :)
